Samarasinghe's magical Holes-in-One at Ridgeways
Earle Samaraisnghe's recent Hole-in-One at the Ridgeways should certainly alert the recorder of the Guinness Book of Records. The affable well preserved Earle Samarasinghe is quite and enthusiast.

He plays for fun, pleasure and the love of outdoor life. At 76 he performed the magical once again and is just delirious with joy as the recent achievement has been his fifth at the Royal Colombo. May I now catalogue his incredible feats?

In 1989 playing in the company of the colourful cricketing star T. Murugesu, Samarasinghe cracked a stunner to hole out on the 13th and jump for joy. In the year 1997 he was joined by M. Dharmarajah the reputed Banker to punch his tee shot and have the ball swallowed up by the cup on the 4th.

They celebrated at the 19th for quite an elastic period. Soon afterwards Samarasinghe with a great life from the omnipotent his shot moved against a low moving breeze dropped on the green and moved into the Cup of the 16th. Jubilation again. On the 17th January 2005 Samarasinghe was once again in search of records and he was amply rewarded when a not so good shot turned into a beauty at the 9th with the aid of an unseen hand. The ball hit the apron, almost stopped and then started to move dead center for the pin and cup.

As the ball disappeared in full view of the delighted Samarasinghe he jumped for joy and engaged in a violent war dance of an ancient tribe with the Caddies joining in. This is an absolutely unique unprecedented record of 4 Holes-in-One on all the par 3 holes of the Ridgeways of the Royal Colombo Golf Club. This is certainly an amazing sequence of stunning performances quite unrelated to the known skills of Earle Samarasinghe a delightfully pleasant personality. Samarasinghe struck again at the 16th to make his record five holes in one.

Dhanushi Strikes Gold
13-year-old Dhanushi Senadhira is a pretty attractive kid with a stylist swing and an excellent temperament and will to win. She comes up often in dispatches winning trophies, medals and goodies and just last week the sprightly kid moved into a cracking round superbly compiled to finish on nett 64. The whole family gathered round the lass including the proud Grandpa Upali de Silva to celebrate on Ginger Biscuits and Dilmah Tea. A Gold medal was laced round her neck.

Almost a month earlier Dhanushi cracked another plum achievement. Playing with her regular pals in a pleasure outing the pretty teenager swung into a stylish tee shot on the 4th.

She claims she lost sight of the ball and then quite suddenly the ball re-appeared bouncing on the green and steadily moving it was devoured by the Cup.

The kid and her pals jumped for joy and very soon she was on Mum's cellular telling the whole country that she struck a Hole-in-One. Attractive Mum Anusha Senadhira the new Ladies Captain of the Royal Colombo Golf Club was the first to hold Dhanushi in a tight embrace.
