Army Development Rugby tournament
Sri Lanka Army inter-regiment tournament this year will be played in two segments-- the Cup and Plate. This is a part of their rugby development at grassroots level.

There are 14 regiments. Six will play in the Cup - the balance in the Plate. This format will help the newcomers to the game.

The Plate was kicked off on Feb. 10 (15-a-side) in two groups. Played on a round-robin basis. The first two in each group will play each other. The winners and runners-up will play in the Cup segment after the league season. The Plate matches will end in the first week of March.

The teams: Commandos, Gemunu Watch, Gajaba, Sri Lanka National Guards, M.I.C. Military Police, and Sri Lanka Military Academy.
