Lawyers set up relief fund for affected members
The Bar Association of Sri Lanka has set up a relief fund for those members who were affected by last Sunday's tsunami devastation.

The Bar also hopes to give financial support to re-establish the victims and to construct houses for the general public, in every affected district. It therefore appeals to its 8000 members to contribute a minimum of Rs. 1000 for this cause.

The members who lost their lives are PC J.E.P Deraniyagala, Tennyson Edirisuriya, Ms. Ajantha Wadugodapitiya and Sujeewa Gunaratne.

The house and properties of Chandima Muthukumarana of the Matara Bar, W.R.C De Silva of the Balapitiya Bar and Ms. D.D.K Piyasiri of Colombo have been destroyed due to the tsunami.
