Owen de Abrew felicitated
Against the backdrop of black & gold at the Ballroom of the Galle Face Hotel, 84 year old Mr. Owen de Abrew, was accorded a grand 50th Year felicitation as a Dance Teacher in Ballroom and Latin Dancing, by the Ballroom Dancers Federation International, Sri Lanka.

The Chief Guest was Yvonne Saunders - Fellow examiner from IDTA, UK who was introduced by Director, International Relations, Subashini Dias Abeyegunawardene.

Nemantha Abeysinghe (Chairman, BDFI, SL) in his welcome speech said that very often the Senior Artistes are forgotten and that is why BDFI took this great stride, even in their infancy to felicitate Mr. de Abrew.
