Bright & Breezy Usha de Silva was in stunning form from just
recently when over 2 days play she won 6 Trophies out of 8 Trophy
events in the competitions for Anne Captain's Trophy. Anne is the
Captain of the Ladies Division of the Royal Colombo Golf Club. She
is a superb organiser and competent planner.

Usha cracked 137 nett over 2 rounds to win the main event
handsomely from Niloo Jayatilleke who could not get further than
nett 142. In the gross score event Usha reached a rewarding score
of 161 to pick another award.

Jackie Dias collected the first day's best gross score
with 78 and in the 2nd day Usha de Silva came good with 79.
In the nett score event attractive swinger Niloo Jayatilleke came
good with 68 and on the 2nd day tender teenager D. Senadhira came
off pretty good with nett 70.

In the Gymkhana events Usha de Silva was streets ahead
of almost 3 dozen competitors. Bold, fearless and quite accurate
she plundered the best nett score on 4 par three holes, 5 birdies
over 2 rounds and on the first day she used only 28 putts.
Usha
had a field day winning almost everything before her. A vastly improved
player coming under Anel's wing she plans her game, gets miserly
with her strokes and has cultivated a style of coaxing putts.
Immensely
pleased with Usha's excellence Anel took to the 19th like a tornado
and signed like hell with friends who are regular at the glorious
