French for SL Army officers
The French Embassy in Sri Lanka organised a "Training in Conversational French" to more than 45 Sri Lankan Army officers to be deployed within the framework of the United Nation's Stabilisation Mission in Haiti (UNSMH), at the request of Sri Lankan authorities.

The Training sessions were conducted in the Panagoda Army Camp by two teachers of Alliance Françoise de Colombo, with the help of the Army. This may lead to a continuation of this type of training of Sri Lankans in future UN peace-keeping activities.
