Gala Bakthi Gee for Poson in Trincomalee

A Poson bakthi gee prasangaya will be held in the Trincomalee town on June 1 and June 2.

This is the first time such a gala programme is scheduled to be held in the Trincomalee district with the participation of students and the three armed forces - the Army, Navy, Air Force, and the Police.

Trincomalee commanding officer Major General Sunil Tennekoon said the sole objective of this bakthi gee programme was the promotion of communal harmony in this important cosmopolitan port town. During a news conference Major General Tennekoon said that religious and community leaders including the Trincomalee district LTTE leaders will be invited for the two-day event.
