LTTEer killed in blast
A senior LTTE cadre was killed in a claymore mine explosion in the uncleared areas of Batticaloa yesterday.

The LTTE cadre belonging to the 'Jeyenthan Force', a special team which was sent from Wanni to oust former Batticaloa- Ampara leader Karuna, was killed in the Pondukalchenai area when he was travelling on a motorcycle. The attack was believed to have been triggered by the Karuna faction operating in the area. The victim was identified as Nesalingam from Wanni.
