New original CD from MAF
Moratuwa Arts Forum (MAF) has recently launched a project to dig up its hidden musical talents by producing a CD of 18 originals.

MAF released the audio cassette "Nirmana" sometimes back to bring up the talents of Moratuwa youths which consists of ten originals along with "Moratu Gamey", the Moratuwa theme song, composed by C.L. Fonseka and Priya Peiris with participation of well over 40 MAF singers.

"MAF also helped two of their members to create a CD with their originals and this time it's in a big way" said Sarath Gunawardene, the President of MAF.

All the songs on this new CD

are composed and sung by experienced and talented musicians/singers of MAF, who had have no public exposure so far as original singers.

Musical directions are being handled by Sarath Gunawardene himself, immediate past president Nihal Fernando and former treasurer Rolinson Ferdinando along with MAF musicians.

"To add some glamour to the hidden talents," said the secretary of MAF Thilak De Mel. "The recording is done at the digital recording studio of MAF member Kumar Ekanayake and the CD will be out in near future", he further added.

Roshan wins a bronze in Best Model World Contest
Twenty-two-year-old Roshan Massilamany became the first Sri Lankan male to win a medal at the Biggest Model Pageant - 'Best Model of the World' held in Turkey.

Competing with 45 countries, Roshan came on top Runner-up to Stefan Alie of France and Guadeloup's Jimmy Gravillon.

The female segment was won by Ukraine's Julia Lischuke.

After winning the national pageant he was placed seventh in 'Manhunt International' last year in China. He won 3000 US Dollars as the prize money.
He also won the best National Costume, executed by Jagath Ranasinghe.

Entertainment Plus at the Deli Market
