3 decades of music for ‘Raj & the Pioneers’
‘Raj & the Pioneers’ has earned a reputation in the field of music for over a period of thirty years. They earn their good name in the local music scene, with both in English and Sinhala songs.

Raj Dassanayake, leader and founder of this band, besides playing for his motherland, has represented an American Club in Saudi Arabia, Hyderabad in India, and gained recognition.

Presently, the band is performing for Ceylinco Group functions and at the places like Raja Bojun and Fingara Club . Sunil Perera of the Gypsies helps us in many ways. He support ted in music arrangements and practices.’ said Raj Dassanayake, the leader of the band.

The lineup includes a talented female vocalist Danushka Wettasinghe, who joined recently. Accompanied by the following artistes. Raj Dassanayake - Drums and vocals, Nihal Weerakkody - Lead Guitar and vocals, Lucky Kulatunga - Bass Guitar and vocals, Lalin Galhena - Keyboard and vocals, Nuwan Thilekeratne - Keyboard and vocals, Danushka Wettasinghe frontline singer and Richard Ferdinandez - Lead Guitar and vocals.
