Talk at Indian Cultural Centre
Ms. Madhubashini Ratnayake, Lecturer, English Department at the University of Sri Jayawardenapura will give a talk at the Indian Cultural Centre on Wednesday.

adhubashini is a writer of short stories and plays and has also translated work from Sinhala to English. She has published two short story collections, one of which was awarded the prize for the best collection of short stories in the State Literary Festival in 1991 and the other which was short listed for the Gratiaen Award in 2001.

She edits the "100 words" creative writing page in The Sunday Times. She is also a musician having been a violinist in the Symphony Orchestra of Sri Lanka and having the title "Visharada" in sitar.
