JVP hails Wijeweera
JVP General Secretary Tilvin Silva on Thursday addressing JVP members at the Maha Veera day to commemorate the death anniversary of Rohana Wijeweera said that the constitution which the UNP created has boomeranged giving an opportunity to the Opposition to oust the UNF. "

Today we recall the memory of our leaders who committed themselves for the emancipation of the marginalized in our society. Its 14 years since our erstwhile leader Rohana Wijeweera was taken away from us. So is Upatissa Gamanayake and the others who joined in the struggle. Though they are not immortalized in bronze they are in our hearts”, he said.
