‘Perfect Beat’ on Golden beach
Nalin Withanachchi, the man behind the ‘Perfect Beat’ is a very busy man with his daytime job as a Restaurant Manager at the Golden Mile Seafood Restaurant in Mount Lavinia. ‘Perfect Beat’, a trio with a new dimension, is the latest addition to the city’s mobile DJ fleet.

However the ‘Perfect Beat’ goes on with its new DJs under the watchful eye of Nalin, who also never forget to spin during his free time. The Perfect Beat is the main feature at the Golden Mile Restaurant.

“During other times we undertake house parties, weddings, gigs and dances to perform. Our boys are quite good at spinning and we deliver current hits, 60’s 70’s and 80’s music and Sri Lankan songs too” Nalin said.

Nalin who hails from Galle had his hospitality career development at the Hilton Colombo, spending most of his time at the Blue Elephant Discotheque, as it’s Jovial Agile bartender. But his love for music always drew him to the DJ Console to spin a few records with DJ’s Kapila and Harith.

Nalin says that he learnt the finger points of DJing from Kapila and Herath, while being at the Blue. The other two main DJs of the Perfect Beat are Niranjan Wanigasooriya and Dilshard de Silva. Both of the above were extensively trained by DJ Nalin. They mainly play 70s and 80s, R&B, Hip Hop, House and long music for easy listening, but always cater to the liking of the audience by taking special care of requests.

‘We should mention about the up and coming trainee DJ Nuwan Fernando”, who Nalin says has a lot of potential. ‘Perfect Beat´ is just not a DJ gang but an outfit of total entertainers as they called themselves able to provide high calibre music.

Perfect Beat is already a big popular name in the local entertainment field and they have been featured at many big functions in the city during the last few years.
