Genovate appoints CyberSoft as Sri Lankan partner

IT training in Sri Lanka entered a new paradigm last week with the launch of Genovate Sri Lanka (www.genovate.lk) as the latest international operation of the Singapore headquartered software, e-services and value-added IT training company Genovate Solutions Pte. Ltd.

The launch with the appointment of CyberSoft Institute of Information Technology (CIIT), a subsidiary of CyberSoft -- a leading local software and IT education company, as Master Franchise Partner for Sri Lanka, will make Genovate's high-end corporate training programmes as well as career IT training opportunities available in this country for the first time.

Commerce and Consumer Affairs Minister Ravi Karunanayake and Singapore's High Commissioner in Sri Lanka Tan Kah Hoe officiated at a gala signing ceremony and reception for corporate sector CEOs and top IT executives to celebrate the advent of Genovate in Sri Lanka. Genovate's CEO and founder J. Anton Ravindran who is of Sri Lankan origin, and Yeo Kay Boon, Regional Director of Genovate Holdings headed the Genovate team from Singapore at this ground-breaking event, the company said in a statement.

CyberSoft will market and run Genovate's structured, as well as customizable IT training courses for the corporate sector in Sri Lanka and also offer access to the academic programmes leading to IT degrees and diplomas from prestigious KnowledgeWindow Asia Pacific (a fully-owned subsidiary of Genovate) affiliated international universities. Established in early 1997 by software professionals in Singapore, Genovate has offices in Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Korea, India and now a franchise in Sri Lanka.
