Strategies on developing high performance

In order to help companies to develop strategies and improve their overall organizational performance and maximise profits, the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce is presenting an interactive seminar.

The seminar titled, "Developing the High Performance Organisation" will focus on practical strategies and the latest international trends geared towards the achievement of a high rate in corporate performance and growth.

The seminar is scheduled for Tuesday, 26th August, 2003 at the Galadari Hotel.

The keynote address at the seminar will be delivered by Nalin Jayasuriya. Mr. Jayasuriya is well known both nationally and internationally as an outstanding trainer on corporate issues. He is currently the Managing Director and CEO of McQuire Rens Consulting (Pvt) Ltd. Mr. Jayasuriya will provide insights into modern organizational development techniques at the seminar. The seminar will focus special attention on three main aspects of organizational development, namely, organizational aspects, human resource issues and improving levels of performance.

Details of the presentations are as follows: "The Organisational Factor" by Sunil Wijesinghe, Managing Director, Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka, "The People Factor" by Sunil Dissanayake, Head of Human Resources, SriLankan Airlines Ltd and "The Performance Factor" by Peter Sun, Chief Executive Officer, Saber Technology.

A highlight of the seminar will be a panel discussion to wrap up the event on the theme "Overall aspects of developing the high performance organization". The panel comprises three leaders in the realm of business development in Sri Lanka: They are : Mahendra Amarasuriya, Chairman, Commercial Bank of Ceylon Ltd, Ubaya Dissanayake, Director, Human Resources, Ceylon Tobacco Company Ltd and Dr. Travis Perera, Senior Consultant, Post-Graduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayawardenapura. The moderator at the seminar will be Ms. Swinitha Coswatte, Human Resource Development Consultant of The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. The seminar is tailored for CEOs, General Managers and senior personnel involved in organizational development and human resource management.
