Development and Savings Bank depositors and their lawyers
smile with relief after the Appeal Court ruling in their favour
in the petition challenging the Central Bank's decision to
liquidate the troubled bank. The judgement quashed the decision
of the Monetary Board of the Central Bank to cancel Pramuka's
banking licence. The depositors formed an association and
fought hard to try get the bank re-opened and recover their
