Anandasangaree in or out?
An LTTE demand to oust TULF President V. Anandasangaree is due to be taken up for discussion today at the party's central committee meeting with members heavily divided on the issue.

The LTTE during previous meetings with the TULF members, including Secretary General R. Sampanthan, had pushed for Mr. Anandasangaree's ouster. The LTTE leaders said Mr. Anandasangaree had boycotted all previous meetings with the LTTE and had been critical of the movement.

Today's meeting is expected to be attended by most of the 36 central committee members. The meeting will also be attended by a rival faction in the party led by Vice President Mawai Senathirajah who has been boycotting meetings presided over by Mr. Anandasangaree.

At today's meeting the party is also due to discuss the current political situation and steps to be taken by the party. Mr. Aandasangaree in his last statement issued said that the LTTE was not the only representative of the Tamil people.
