Garment trade show to sponsor buyers

Revenue from the Garment Times apparel trade show will be used to sponsor buyers from Hong Kong, Singapore and India recommended by the industry to visit Sri Lanka.

The show to be held during September 18-21 will be patronised by the international buyers and local buying office representatives as well as manufacturers.

It is a self-financing project, where up to 60 percent of the revenue from the Manufacturers Stall section will be used to sponsor visits of buyers. Participants include manufacturers of garments and suppliers of fabrics, accessories and machinery.

SriLankan Airlines, the official airline for the Garment Times show, will be flying people to promote the show overseas. A special discount will be offered on airline tickets used during this period.

In order to attract buyers to Sri Lanka, a Pre-Show Directory, about Sri Lanka and business, especially the garment industry, with profiles and listings of participating companies will be printed by mid-July to be used in promotions.
