3M Lanka rejuvenates the car care industry

3M Lanka recently launched the first of many Car Detailing Centres at the Rajagiriya branch of Laugfs Gas Station.

These car-detailing centres offer a range of professionally applied treatments that gives a car a great start in life, which will not only keep it looking new, but also protect it from harmful environmental elements, a 3M press release said.

Kishore Rao, Managing Director 3M Lanka, said that Sri Lanka was blessed with a very discerning segment of customers who valued their cars, and that the 3M range of car detailing and maintenance products offered great value to these customers in keeping their cars in top condition. Laugfs chairman W.K.H. Wegapitiya said this created a new chapter for the automotive aftermarket industry with the backing of expertise in their group.

Treatments such as the UV Protection treatment are designed to shine and protect paint finishes, and produce a durable high gloss finish that prevents damage from ultra violet radiation. There is also a complete exterior treatment that completely cleans and shines the exterior vehicle surfaces, which creates that "new look" to the car's exterior painted surfaces - from the engine to the tires. Surface refinement and enhancement treatments focuses on removing light and medium scratches, oxidation, and other paint imperfections to produce a brilliant durable "wet look" finish. .(SG)
