'Ebony in Concert'
'Ebony in Concert' a grand fifteenth year birthday bash of the band Ebony will be held at the Bishop's College Auditorium on April 30.

Popular singers Dalreen, Mariazelle, Sohan, Maxie, Lincoln, Derrick, Chandani, Ronnie, Clifford, Janaka (Elvis), and Saliya (Shaggy) will be featured as guest artistes at the Ebony Show.

Five of the Ebony members are from the same family including the female vocalist Dilrukshi Galappaththi.

The band comprises Udaya Galappaththi - Manager/ leader, Shanaka Senadeera - Lead Guitar with Vocals, Sampath Galappaththi - Drums with Vocals, Dilrukshi Galappaththi - Female vocalist, Channa Galappaththi - Bass Guitar with Vocals, Nuwan Galappaththi - Keyboards with Vocals.

"We are celebrating our 15th Anniversary with this concert . I like to dedicate that to our late father Hubert Galappaththi , who started this band Ebony in 1987. I would like to invite all our fans to join us in this show' said leader Udaya.
The tickets will be available at the gate.

Benette Ratnayake's latest telefilm carrying an extraordinary title 'WWW.COM', which is on Rupavahini now handle a theme around underworld activities and 'net-crimes'

The story around an investigative journalist, who was on a mission to bring a multimillionaire businessman, who is involved in a number of illegal activities including illegal arms dealing, before the law.

Benette famed for his direction in the small screen became an internationally acclaimed director with his maiden film "Aswesuma" (The Compensation).
"In the present context of things people manage to become millionaire over night and there are hidden hands behind all these sudden developments", Benette said speaking about the theme he had handled in his latest direction. 'International arms dealings, casino, drug dealings and prostitution and many other illegal activities have joined with politics closely associated for their existence', he added.

But despite these dishonest ways of making, these people occupy very high positions in society, among the many in their own class.

WWW Com revolves around a social group which maintains an extravagant life style despite their illegal source of income and a young man who strives to uncover the anti-social ways they adopt to earn money ways of living.

A computer engineer, hacking over the web, finds a secret site belonging to a businessman. Going through the site he uncovers undisclosed information of an underworld connection and their activities. The discovery is passed on to a journalist who works hard to uncover these activities and bring it before the law.

With WWW.Com Benette Ratnayake introduces number of new faces to the mini screen. Talented newcomers musician Ananda Dabarera writes the musical score.

Manoj Ranasinghe is introduced as a camera director while some new faces too are found in the cast.

In the major cast are Ananda Wickremage, Neeta Fernando, Palitha Silva, Semini Iddamalgoda, Daya Alwis, Radha de Mel, Saddha Uthpalakande and Hyacinth Wijeratne.
