President's boys hold edge
Having emerged as B division champions in the Lemonade Trophy league tournament and with five outright wins President's College have a slight edge over Lumbini Vidyalaya in their second annual cricket encounter for the CBE Trophy to be played at the SSC grounds on March 31& April 1.

President's College is led by sixth year coloursman Chamara Kodithuwakku and has beaten St. Anthony's College, Siri Piyaratne, Vidyalaya, Raddoluwa Vidyalaya, Gurukula Vidyalaya and Royal College Panadura.

They also possess seven centurions this season and two penetrative match winning fast bowlers who can pose a big threat to Lumbini Vidyalaya. They are coached by Mahesh Weerasinghe.

Lumbini is captained by fifth year coloursman Harsha Gihan Cooray and is well equipped to defend the trophy. They only possess only three centurions and three wicket-taking bowlers. Despite their opponents in the A division being very strong they have recorded three outright victories this season which took them to four place in the league table. The team is coached by Dinisah Weerasinghe.

The 13th encounter between St.John's Nugegoda and Ananda Sastralaya commenced yesterday at the Kettarama Stadium with St.John's making 207 for 9 declared and in reply Ananda Sastralaya were 31 for 1 at close.

The highlight of the St.John's innings was a quick fire unbeaten half century by Thanuja. He was well supported by Lahiru who scored 46
