My Dear Crown Prince,

By the time you read this you will probably be away in England on one of your many trips there but you would also be surely aware that the country is eagerly awaiting your return because they want to know your decision with regard to this attempt to belittle the See Jay.

Of course some people have virtually ordered that this cannot be done and we don't know whether it's a case of you-know-who rushing in where others fear to tread but it all now depends on what you decide, it seems.

Now, Crown Prince, our experience with matters like this are not very pleasant. You will remember that some time ago they tried to impeach someone else and the one who speaks ended up with egg all over his face on that occasion. We hope you will not follow that example.

Then, there is of course the question whether it is the judiciary or the legislature that is supreme. Certainly those in the latter place behave as if they are but it now seems even though you can try to impeach even a President, it may not be possible with a See Jay; and that surely must be a troubling thought for those who believe that no one is above the law.

Anyway, Crown Prince we must hope that you will give a decision according to your conscience on this matter. What we do know is that if you give a decision favouring the See Jay, you will be seen by some, as strengthening your claim to be the next presidential candidate from the blue party once Satellite's two terms of office are over. And then, others say that your future in the green camp is not so secure, what with Karoo now firmly anchored in the number two slot. So, some say that it will be only a foolish optimist who will expect a fair decision from you!

But, Crown Prince this is precisely why you must act wisely and honourably on this matter- if only to prove your critics wrong. At least then they will think again before going public with pictures of you in your bathing suit!

Of course we do realize that there is the little matter of that nice little house in Kotte that is being built for you and some say that that will tempt you to give the verdict in favour of the See Jay. But, Crown Prince, you being the heir of Horagolla we are sure that you will not succumb to such trivial temptations.

Of course, we must alert you to the fact that most people still believe that the See Jay will pull through, thanks largely due to your indulgence. Some of them say this issue is like "Naduth haamuduruwange, baduth haamuduruwange." but we will reserve our judgment until you deliver your verdict!

Yours truly, Punchi Putha.

PS- While you are in England, give my condolences to that chap Hague, will you? Tell him not to despair that much- there's someone worse than him over here and you know who that is, don't you?
